Overview

<content> IBM® Lotus® Domino® Servers on different domains require connection documents and cross certificates to be able to communicate with each other. Perform the following tasks to create these connections:
Task 1

1. Replicate names.nsf from other domains on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
2. Configure Directory Assistance to be able to look up addresses from names.nsf from other domains. For instructions, see the IBM Support and Downloads page and search for the steps that are specific to your version of the IBM Lotus Domino server.

Task 2
Perform the following steps on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server:
Warning: The following procedure involves modifying the computer registry. This can cause substantial damage to the Windows® operating system. Document and back up the registry entries prior to implementing any changes.

1. Open the Registry Editor and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents.
2. Create a DWORD value named ALPAllLocalLookups and set the value to 1.
3. Set up Directory Assistance on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server containing directories from all other domains you want to be able to look up.
4. A restart is required for the registry changes to take affect.

Additional Information

By default, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server performs lookups and name resolutions in the home domain of each BlackBerry smartphone user. This process also functions for multi-domain lookups if Directory Assistance is turned on for each IBM Lotus Domino Server. BlackBerry smartphone users are added on each IBM Lotus Domino directory from all desired foreign domains.
