For those of you that know me personally, you know in addition to being a mobile messaging junkie I'm a travel / point / mile junkie. In addition to all the technology blogs I read, I keep up with several travel ones.
In the spirit of being green, here's a way to do one of the 3 R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle): NextWorth. They pay out for old gadgets, and for devices that they deem have no value you can either bring it to a partner retail store location, or mail it to them for proper recycling. There is no need to let old technology pile up on your desk and then eventually just get thrown away with the regular trash and then tossed in a landfill.
I'm definitely someone that is guilty of doing just that; recycling needs to be convenient for me, and going to a retail store I already drive by / stop in, or dropping a package at the post office as I'm out running errands isn't much effort at all. Sure, by mailing it energy is used, but I'm pretty sure the mail trucks are going that way anyway.
