Ok, this is blatant thievery from KB15871, but I've seen this a few times recently and figured it was worth noting.

Unfortunately, there isn't an automated way to do this from the BES ... The posted resolution is:

<content> To resolve this issue, delete and undelete the Desktop [SYNC] service book on the BlackBerry smartphone. Have each BlackBerry smartphone user complete the following steps:
  1. Go to Options> Advanced Options> Service Book and highlight Desktop [SYNC].
  2. Press the Menu key and select Delete.
  3. Press the Menu key and select Undelete.
  4. Go to Options> Advanced Options> Host Routing table and press the Menu key.
  5. Select Register now, and click the trackball or trackwheel.
I'm going to add a caveat to this if you're using a device with a SIM card. The phone number needs to be on the SIM Card ...

To do this from the handheld: Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card > (Press Menu Key) Edit SIM Phone Number > Enter in Phone Number if it doesn't already exist

Now you should get the information populated
