How much data do you use?

Posted 05-27-2010 at 04:05 AM by hdawg (hdawg's BES blog)

Over in the forum, gibbyoh started a great thread asking "How much data do you use?".

I know a bunch of people that tether like mad, stream videos and music constantly so they must rack up a bit of usage. I'm not too crazy, but check out How much data do you use?? and give some feedback!

Posted 05-26-2010 at 04:05 AM by hdawg (hdawg's BES blog)

Anyone else notice this? Every major platform (that I deal with) is getting an upgrade or going through a revolution. Sorry, I don't work much at all with Symbian.

BlackBerry OS 6

Apple iPhone 4.0

HP purchasing Palm

Android 2.2

Windows Phone 7

Posted 05-12-2010 at 04:05 AM by hdawg (hdawg's BES blog)

Exchange 2007 was a huge change / improvement / whatever you'd like to call it to the messaging and collaboration world, but don't think Exchange 2010 isn't equally as awesome.

I'll keep you up to date on what Henrik says and expect to see a bunch of content from me on how BES + Exchange 2010 = a better world for us BlackBerry Enterprise...

Bulk import BES CAL (license keys)

Posted 05-11-2010 at 04:05 AM by hdawg (hdawg's BES blog)

I was recently working with a friend who was building a new BES 5 environment / migrating from 4.x and had more than 200 CAL's that needed to be added to the database.

Adding through the BAS is a "one at a time" approach with no easy way to do the import ... but as we all know the keys are all stored in the BlackBerry Configuration Database (BESMgmt) in the licensekeys table. So we'd just add the data to the table in question, right? Well ... kinda.
