Even if you're not a developer it is definitely a wise idea to know what the developers are thinking / doing.

As Admins / Engineers / Architects we need to know as much as we can ... I know at least 75% of everything I read on the blog I won't understand, but I'll at least get a few ideas and will pick up something every once in a while.
